# KYC Verification

<summary><strong>Do I need to complete KYC to trade cryptocurrencies?</strong></summary>

Crypto trading can be started right away; RWA-type underlying assets such as forex and gold require completing L0 basic verification first. While crypto trading can be proceeded directly, we recommend completing at least L0 Basic Verification to enhance your account security and unlock access to RWA instruments.

KYC has three levels:

* L0 (Basic): fill in basic information
* L1 (Document): upload a national ID, passport, or driver's license
* L2 (Facial): complete facial recognition.

Trading RWA instruments (forex, gold, indices, etc.) requires at least L0 verification.

<summary><strong>What documents are needed for KYC?</strong></summary>

Only L1 (Document) requires an upload of a clear photo of your national ID, passport, or driver's license. L0 only requires basic information, and L2 is completed via facial recognition.

<summary><strong>How long does a KYC review take?</strong></summary>

KYC review is typically completed within 1–3 hours, depending on actual review conditions. You'll be notified of the result via in-site message. If you haven't received a result after 24 hours, please submit a support ticket with your UID or registered email and the verification level submitted, and we'll help check on the progress.

<summary><strong>What should I do if my KYC was rejected?</strong></summary>

Please follow these steps to resubmit:

* Click the notification icon in the top-right corner of the platform, or check the in-site message sent to your registered email, to see the specific reason for rejection.
* Go to \[User Center] → \[Account Verification] and locate the level (L0/L1/L2) that failed.
* Update the relevant information as instructed and resubmit.
* Wait for review, the result will be sent via in-site message and email.

Common rejection reasons:

* L0: Misspelled name, incorrect ID number or expiry date, nationality not matching the document
* L1: Blurry, glared, obstructed, or expired document photo, or information not matching L0
* L2: Insufficient lighting, face obstructed, or prompted actions not completed

If your submission is still rejected after multiple attempts, please email <cs@mcmarkets.com> with your UID or registered email, the failed verification level, and a screenshot of the failure reason shown in your in-site message.

Gold, forex, and indices are RWA (Real-World Asset) instruments, which require at least L0 verification to trade.
